Hot Chai Games is an indie game studio based in New York City.

We've been bringing unique twists to classic puzzle games since 2012 and have released more than a dozen games in the card, word, block, party, puzzle, and strategy genres.

Our games Match Solitaire and Wordjamacallit have been featured as Apple’s Game of the Day and included in the App Store’s Essential Card Games and Essential Word Games collections, and Superstar! The Card Game was named one of the App Store’s Best New Games of 2023.

Recently, we won first place with our game Tile Truckers in the GameBCN incubator based in Barcelona and we have now opened a subsidiary there.

David Taylor founded the studio and is our lead game designer and programmer. He was previously a Principal Software Development Engineer at Microsoft.

Allison Ladue joined the studio in 2023, and is our business and marketing lead. She was previously a dean of academic administration at Columbia University.

Leia Peia is our Top Dog and Chief Motivator as she requires only the best and most expensive treats.
